Arts Etobicoke – Territories: Crossings Through Place

The fourth exhibition in the Territories series: Crossings Through Place featured the work of local artists, the exhibition explores the many ways people connect with the world around them by centering on the concept of journey—whether physical, cultural, emotional, or symbolic. These journeys may be part of our everyday routines, like commuting, walking familiar neighbourhood routes, or moving through habitual spaces. They may also represent profound life experiences, including migration, displacement, and the search for belonging.

The exhibition reflected not only on the destinations people reached, but also on the ways they travelled, the stories and memories they carried, and how repeated movement through places shaped their understanding of them over time.
