The 2.3-acre Triangle Site (at the corner of The East Mall and East Mall Crescent) will lead the overall master plan redevelopment. We are currently re-envisioning the site and look forward to sharing updates as the design advances.
No, Cloverdale Mall will not be closing in the next several years. Future demolition of the mall, anticipated in 2031 (or later), will be subject to various factors including market conditions. Demolition for redevelopment will be conducted in phases, starting with the North Mall, with efforts in place to ensure continued operation of the South Mall.
Future demolition of the mall and construction of the master plan will be implemented in strategic phases to ensure the continuity of the retail experience.
With a commitment to ensuring key services remain operational, demolition will start with the North Mall, ensuring the South Mall – including the grocery store and other tenancies – remains fully operational for several years. Our goal is to maintain Cloverdale’s strong value and convenience offering in the South Mall.
