Arts Etobicoke: Intersections – Knitting Workshop with Maria Teresa Peña

Join Maria Teresa Peña—featured in Arts Etobicoke's Intersections: Threads of Tradition and Identity – Gender and Sexual Identity exhibition—for a hands-on knitting workshop at the Cloverdale Common. Participants are invited to take part in a collective action: knitting “granny squares” that will be joined together into a single communal piece. Reclaim time for yourself while learning new techniques, sharing ideas, and inspiring one another. Collective knitting is a transformative act—it fosters friendship, builds lasting bonds, and creates a deep sense of belonging.
Date: Every Thursday: May 8 through 29, 2025
Time: 2 pm to 3 pm
Venue: Cloverdale Common, next to ServiceOntario.
